The funeral industry practice, also known as the Funeral Rule, was entitled on 24 September 1982 and came into force on 30 April 1984. The main purpose of the Funeral Rule is to ensure that consumers receive the information necessary to make the purchase decisions for goods and funeral services.

According to the Funeral Rule, consumers have the right to choose the funeral goods and services chosen and that the undertakers and managers must have a written general price list. Another rule is that if it includes any state or local law requires a consumer to buy a particular item, the supplier must have written on the price list in accordance with a reference to specific legislation. A funeral provider with funeral services and crematories must have other containers Optionally, more specifically, the polls are available for use. The funeral home must give you a detailed statement on the total cost of funeral goods and services selected.
